THE ENDANGERED BRITISH PUB
OPEN LETTER TO SAVE OUR LOCAL BRITISH PUBS
THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR THE HEART OF OUR COMMUNITIES
The great British Pub is as much a part of British culture as the Queen or Big Ben. Some of these local pubs have been around for a very long time, so how comes after all these years, they are only now experiencing a radical decline? Since 1990’s the UK has lost 25% of our local pubs.
Rising property charges, the smoking ban and the brewery expensive compulsory be wry order prices have definable played their part but what may also be to blame is that we are all living very different lives to how we use to 30 years or so ago. Our tastes have changed and the way we socialize with one another has chanced. .
